The situation in the Middle East has got many of us feeling unsafe, uncertain... and, for many, trying to leave... with our pets as quickly as possible!
We canNOT influence flight availability, schedules or when you and your pets might be able to leave (obviously).
We CAN begin the relocations process with you.
We CAN take care of your pets in our pet hotel if you need us to, for as short or long a time as you need.
Our 24/7 veterinary clinic remains constantly available, too.
- Emails and WhatsApp: DO contact us this way. We are inundated but we ask you for a little patience and you will be responded to. We promise, you will not be ignored or forgotten... even if a bit slowly. We are doing our very best If you've emailed or WhatsApped us already, you will get a response soon.
- Phone Calls: Do NOT contact us by phone. For the moment, we are not taking phone calls. We simply cannot cope with the number of calls we receive. We want to serve you well - at this time, we cannot do that by phone.

DKC Relocations
You cannot imagine the almost endlessss and offen unpredictabilty of the export>import requirements for pets around the worldl. So here we give you some broad, important and relliably known guidance on destination-country-requirements for just those countries which at the momeennt represent among the greatest of interest from many of you out there:
APPLICABLE TO ALL PET RELOCATIONS FROM THE UAE
An export health certificate, issued by the UAE Ministry of Climate Change & Environment is mandatory. Timing for issuance will depend on the destination country.
BROAD, ROUGH TIMELINES:
- Manifest Cargo moves generally require a 2–3-week window from receiving what is required for the move. However, the entry requirements for some countries require a much longer lead time.
- Accompanied baggage – documents for travel: Minimally 5 days
OMAN
- Issues at the border (road crossing) have been reported as Oman is reaching full capacity with an influx of people coming in, and is open to Omani nationals or residents, ***subject to change.
- Please review Oman entry requirements here:
https://www.dkc.ae/docs/airspace-closure-help/Oman_-_Pet_Import_Requirements.pdf
- IMPORTANT NOTE ON THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: based on an agent who we liaise with regularly, the 03 month wait period after a blood test is done, has been temporarily lifted, this is subject to change at any moment. This does not mean that an RNATT/blood test is not required, just that the 03 month wait after the fact, is currently being waived.
- VERY IMPORTANT: Oman has a different rabies status to the UAE, so if you are intending to relocate elsewhere from Oman, you may require a rabies titre test and have to remain in Oman to meet additional requirements for 3+ months.
SAUDI ARABIA
- For the import information and required vaccinations for cats and dogs, see links here:
https://www.dkc.ae/docs/airspace-closure-help/KSA_-_Pet_Import_Requirements.pdf
https://www.dkc.ae/docs/airspace-closure-help/KSA_-_Vaccination_Requirements.pdf - Agents in KSA are not sure how long it will take to procure the KSA import permit due to the current geopolitical circumstances. Under normal conditions, this can take up to 10-14 days.
INDIA
- See requirements here:
https://www.dkc.ae/docs/airspace-closure-help/India_-_Pet_Import_Requirements.pdf - We have received a lot of enquiries for India. The agents there have advised that there is no exemption currently to their entry rules and requirements.

They must be microchipped and have current rabies and annual feline vaccinations with the rabies vaccination being at least 30 days old at the time of travelling.
If they are travelling through an EU country it's required that you have proof that the date of microchip insertion was prior to at least the last rabies vaccination, as the EU requirements must also be met.

DKC Boarding & Daycare
We currently have space to accommodate your dogs, cats and other small animals. (This could change due to the sheer volume of bookings being made) We are, however, full for boarding medium and large birds.
Our opening hours will remain the same.

Here's the link to our price list:
https://www.dkc.ae/docs/Price_List-Boarding_Daycare_Collection_Delivery.pdf
Please note that we will need to check our schedule if pick-ups and drop offs are possible.
Your dogs and cats will need to be vaccinated to board with us. If by some chance they are not up to date, then we can make exceptions and have them done whilst they are boarding with us, and you'll need to make sure you provide us with the vaccination book/ passport and a copy of your Emirates ID.
We understand that you may not have proper boarding dates in mind, given the current situation, but please note that if your pet is collected earlier than the planned date, we will process a refund of the extra days charged.
If you would like to go ahead and book your pet/s in or still have further questions or need more help, please email us on boardingdaycare@dkc.ae or WhatsApp us on +971 50 166 636 and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
